Arts curator and critic. In 2002 Marianne Zamecznik set up, together with Stina Högkvist, the foundation Simon Says, with which she organised, inter alia, “Simon Says Aloha to Polish Art”- an exhibition devoted to the newest Polish art that was a contribution to the Polish Year in Sweden (2003). It included happenings by Julita Wójcik and Romand Dziadkiewicz, as well as works by Anna Niesterowicz, Paweł Książek and the artistic group Twożywo. At the same time Zamecznik worked for the Swedish Filmform, which is an institute active in the field of film and video-art.

From 2007 to 2010 she was the program director of the association 0047, an independent organisation based in Oslo which runs projects operating at the intersection of visual arts with architecture. Marianne Zamecznik organised, together with Tomasz Fudala, “The Space Between Us” – an exhibition dedicated to the works of Stanisław Zamecznik and presented in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Arts in Warsaw at the festival “Warsaw Under Construction”. Her other expositions executed under the aegis of 0047 include “Soft Spot” - an exhibition devoted to the way we express feelings, with works by Magdalena Abakanowicz, et. al. (2008), and “Vodou” - a sound exposition project executed with Lina Selander (2008).

Zamecznik is one of the curators who collaborated on the making of the 6th Momentum Biennial, held in Moss, Norway, entitled “Imagine Being Here Now” (opened June 2011). She has also been an editor and author of publications on art.

As a participant of the European Culture Congress Marianne Zamecznik will contribute to the exhibition 10x10 as a curator recommended by Marta Kuzma.
