Terms such as biotechnology, game theory, and fractals have become a permanent addition to the artist’s vocabulary. Molecular and even quantum physics can serve as a template for a sculpture or a building. Is the modern artist becoming a scientist? Or perhaps it is the scientists who is becoming an artist?
Participants: Graham Burnett, a professor of history at Princeton and a member of the New York Institute for the Humanities; Mateusz Herczka, a multimedia artist and avant-garde choreographer; Eran Neuman, an architect, co-founder of Open Source Architecture (OSA), an international rese¬arch center focused on the involvement of cutting-edge technologies in architecture; Łukasz Turski, a professor of physics at the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Head of the Program Council at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw. Moderator: Balázs Lévai, a television producer, and journalist.
