The Wall – How it works?

AAA

The rules are simple – you get 27 empty fields. Each field can be linked to a specific website and displayed as an image accessed remotely from that website. The images can be cropped, scaled, and moved.

To participate – in both the competition and freestyle categories – you need to create an account at the Congress website and accept the Terms of Service. After creating your account, the administrator will activate your Wall and later, due to the public character of the project, check its content for compliance with the Terms of Service. Next:

1. Hover your mouse over an empty field, a ‘+’ symbol will appear. Click it!
2. Once you click, a new window opens where you submit the address of a chosen website (‘site url’). Submit the url and click ‘Load’.
3. The wall will load all remotely available images from the chosen website and display them in preview mode.
4. Arrow buttons allow you to view available images.
5. After you select a picture click the “save” button.
6. The image will now be displayed in the field on your Wall. You can now:
a) move the picture by clicking arrow buttons in the middle of the field or drag it with left mouse button
b) enlarge or decrease size of the image by clicking the highlighted corners of the field and dragging with left click
c) edit the link by clicking the ‘edit’ button at the top of the field and resubmit a url
d) delete the image by clicking the ‘delete’ button at the bottom of the field
7. This is how you complete your Wall or parts of it.
8. Once your Wall is ready save your project by clicking on the red ‘Save your wall’ button.

After creating your account, the administrator will activate your Wall and later, due to the public character of the project, check its content for compliance with the Terms of Service.

We do not store any of the images used to create a Wall. If they are removed from their parent website, they will disappear from the Wall. It’s just using what’s already out there, recycling the Internet so to speak.

Make sure to save your wall every 24 minutes or your session will expire.
