Dirty money and art
(10x10 project)
The visitors of the 10x10 exhibition (part “See you there”) “Wash your dirty money with my art” are able to see the János Sugár’s re-contextualized stenciled graffiti-like work “Wash your dirty money with my art”. A Hungarian conceptual artist and film-maker was condemned to 5 months in jail, with two years probation for this public work criticizing the financing of private art institutions with public subsidy (the pretext was a vandalism). Talking to the Miasta w Komie reporters Sugár encourages the audience to borrow the stencil he has made and to use it to make their own graffiti.
