Institute of Reportage: The Silesian Stalker - questionnaire

AAA

Marcin Doś, a protagonist of “The Silesian Stalker”, an article written by Monika Kokoszyńska answers questions prepared by students of the Polish School of Reportage.

Name, age: Marcin Doś, 35.

My birthplace: Bytom.

My place today: Bytom.

I am… myself.

I do… I dream of doing things my way...

I was… myself.

I will be… myself.

Culture is… supposed to be more important than advertising.

Poland is… I don’t know, I am a citizen of Earth.

Europe is… I don’t know, I am a citizen of Earth.

My environment starts… in my own home and proceeds outwards.

My environment ends… it does not.

What I do is important because… it fulfills me sometimes.

A movie that has recently impacted me very profoundly was… “Lucio”. Why? Because Lucio was a true anarchist.

A book that has recently impacted me very profoundly was… I’m in the middle of “Extinction” by Thomas Bernhard. Read it, maybe you’ll agree with me or understand me.

My biggest influence was… Tarkovsky’s “Stalker.” Besides, that’s a stupid question.

This year I’d like to… start a family.

In five years I’d like to… do what I want.
