One of eight winning projects selected in the Art for Social Change competition conducted by the National Audiovisual Institute as part of the preparations for the European Culture Congress.
Journalists from the Belarusian Section of the Polish Radio’s External Service and from the Belarusian Radio Fish will be relaying the events of the European Culture Congress to their audiences. Each crew will prepare eight broadcasts in Belarusian, which will also be posted at the Polish Radio’s website („Беларуская cлужбa”) in the Podcast section, at the Radio Ryba (Radio Fish) website, and at the official ECC website. Some of them will be broadcasted by the Polish Radio’s External Service and reach audiences in Belarus. The meeting of journalists from both radios will give them a chance to exchange experiences and recordings.
This project is run jointly by the Revers Centre for Culture, a foundation fostering the ideas of open society and using cutting-edge technologies in social work, and Next Stop-New Life, a Belarusian youth association working on youth participation in social life and civic education. Project partners include SocialCamp Kraków and bi-monthly journal New Eastern Europe.
Project participants include Dzmitry Hurnievic and Walery Cauko from Polish Radio, Uladzislau Buben, Aleh Novikau, Antonina Yelistratova, and Ihar Zaltkou from Radio Fish, and a few volunteers: Weronika Burman, Marcin Banaszewski.
